FROM NEWCASTLE: Bangladeshi autistic players made an outstanding achievement in Special Olympics: Asia pacific games 2013 on December 6 at Newcastle in Australia.
The Bangladeshi players won 43 gold, 25 silver and 10 bronze medals in seven events out of nine events which was the highest gold medals in any international games for Bangladesh.
Among the players Munni Aktar, Humayun, Sagor, Chaiti, Siddik, Parul, Nipa Bosh and Naeem won more than one gold medals.
Bangladesh became unbeaten champion in four events of Cricket and Football (Unified and Special).
Meanwhile, players couch and officials of Bangladesh teams expressed firm determination that Bangladesh would do better in future.
They urged special support from Prime Minister in this regard.
The closing ceremony of Special Olympics 2013 Asia Pacific Games is set be held on December 7.
